Apple Crisp
Serves: Makes Approximately Six Servings
- 4 cups apples, cored, peeled and sliced
- ½ cup water
- 1½ tsp. tabletop stevia
- 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1½ tsp. tabletop stevia
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1½ Tbs. brown sugar, packed
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Place apples in a large bowl and sprinkle with water, stevia, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Toss to evenly coat the apples.
- Spray a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray and arrange apple mixture in the bottom of the pan.
- In a separate, small bowl combine oats, sweetener, flour, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar and salt. Stir until the mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly on top of the apples in the baking dish.
- Place baking dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the apples are bubbly and the crisp is golden.
- Serve warm, room temperature or cold.
