Dr Priscilla Samuel Presents at 7th Asian Congress of Dietetics

Dr Priscilla Samuel, Head of the PureCircle Stevia Institute (PCSI) presented on the benefits of stevia at the 7th Asian Congress of Dietetics July 8th, 2018 in Hong Kong. The meeting was held at the Polytechnic University, Jockey Club Auditorium in collaboration with the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Dr Samuel’s presentation focused on the science that supports stevia’s role in diabetes and weight management, ending with how dietitians can apply its use for consumers and clients in the clinical setting.
The session was very well attended and “house full”. At this session attendees got to learn about Stevia and it benefits and then, got to learn about the Hong Kong’s culinary treasures presented by local registered dietitians. Dr Samuel had the chance to answer many questions about stevia and its role in health and wellness from a very engaged and eager audience.
The session and event were organized by the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (IAAND) Professional Development Committee and IAAND Hong Kong Representative.
